Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
Jam 6 has been able to play through my 192/96 interfaces until
upgrading to the latest Core Audio. Actually I believe it was QuickTime 7 which initially broke this. (have since re-installed 6.5.2) Any ideas on getting Jam 6.03 to play with Digi hardware + new Core Audio? The "incompatible configuration" dialog saying that the freq needs to be set to 44.1K. It is already set there. Setting it to 88.2 actually prevents the error dialog, but still no sound. Thanks, pws |

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
sorry, can't help but only confirm that it's not working here either.
btw, this is on a system that's never had QT7 installed on it. |

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
The only way I have been able to get it to work is to set the "Sound Out" option in preferences to "Mac OS X Audio HAL". Then go to System Preferences and make sure Digidesign HW is selected. I can't get Jam to play out the digidesign hardware if I select it from within Jam.

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
We are seeing the same behavior here and will be looking into it.
Is anyone able to get playback with 'Digidesign HW' selected in Jam Preferences if they launch the Core Audio Manager application before launching Jam? |

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
I had a huge problem with JAM and I'll never use it again (at least without a test)
It has nothing to do with hearing it or not, I can hear Toast BTW: it completely changed the sound of the files I selected, I had beautiful mixes that were reduced to bass and reverb, it took me a day and half to find the problem and I went back to using Toast as Jam was the problem

Is anyone able to get playback with 'Digidesign HW' selected in Jam Preferences if they launch the Core Audio Manager application before launching Jam?
Yes, I have. I opened Core Audio, then Jam, dragged a AIF file into it and played it......I then opened Jam prefs and realized it was play out HAL, I changed that to Digi HW and it stilled played. |

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
i did what both previous posters did and it's now working. almost like it needed to "set" itself or something. now it's working with either HAL or DigiHW selected.
thanks |

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
Quote:
Not here. Completely broken. I always launch Core Audio before opening software. If I have "Digidesign HW" as my default audio output, JAM won't open at all. If I switch it, JAM does not provide it as an option. Worked fine before 6.9. PS - I should add that all I get is HAL. I'm using JAM 6.0.2. -- lance

Re: Roxio Jam 6 with Core Audio 6.9
DigiTechSupt,
Any resolution to getting Jam 6 working with Core Audio 6.9? I have tried various suggestions, but still no audio. Any magic sequence/combinations of versions? Thanks, pws |
