cascading outputs on master faders not working Protools 2020.12

Until Avid actually fixes this ommision, I would select all your output master tracks and save them(Export Selected Tracks as New Session). Then you can use the Import Session Data command to bring in all at once This might also be savable as a track preset but I'm not sure about it

Definitely appreciate the thoughts! I was just wondering if anybody remembered this getting addressed in a recent release and it was now broken again, in which case I would start a case and flag it as a bug, or whether I had dreamed the whole thing.

I usually have my templates set up the way I want and import session data to a new blank session, cherry-picking the elements I need from the template.

In this case I was making a new Atmos template for a specific job with pretty specific requirements that are different than my usual template. I had to make mono Master Faders for each Atmos object and assign them to the correct outputs feeding the renderer. I was over 100 Mono Master Faders that I had to individually, manually assign the outputs. Now that this template is made, I'll have it and can reuse it as a template, but like I said, it's for a very specific custom use case.

I am able to cascade buses (not outputs!) on master faders that are not currently in use in the session(doesn't work when the buses are orange in the output assignment window)

I had to create 48 mono master faders to limit object tracks and was frustrated at doing it one by one as many of you are here.

My work around was to un-assign the object assignment all of the object tracks I need to limit, and un-map the output/object assignment from the bus. Then, I was able to cascade the 48 buses(after being certain they were white in the "bus" tab of the output assignment window). Afterwards, I reassigned the the busses to outputs and objects and then cascaded the object outputs on my corresponding tracks which was much easier than going one by one...
