PTF is a kill joy?

I was so excited ... I've waited for so long, the time has finally come ... when Pro Tools for Windows 9x is available - and for FREE!

I downloaded PTF with unexpressable joy like a child, watching the download progressed from 1k, 10k, 100k, 1M... until, Download completed!

I immediately double click on InstallPTFREE.exe, Next, Next, Next, Installing, 1%, 2%, 3%, then ... WHAT!? Error message! Can't even install!?

It took me a while to realize that PTF wouldn't install on a foreign language Windows 98SE system (I meant, Windows systems other than English Windows 98SE). What a kill joy! That means I can't install PT on my home PC, my office PC, my friends' PCs, my neighbours' PCs ...

Anyway, I got over it. I waited for years, so I guess I can wait for another few months? 1 year? 2 years? 3 years ...

Besides, I have a Mac G3 and happily running PT LE with AMIII card doing real work with the system, so, what the hack?

I love Digidesign, I love Pro Tools! (especially PT 5.1 with multi-level undos, autosave, multiple plugin windows ... etc.)

I've installed PTFree on two computers - overclocked Celerons, cheap SoundBlaster-compatibles and only 64M RAM and - on polish WIN98SE. Everything works. Hmmm....

Oh well, I think I should more accurately say that it was a Chinese Win98SE ... :-p So far it seems PTF does not work on Japanese and Chinese Win98SE. Any other languages?
