Re: Any steals on plugins today?
What is that? like an EQ emulator or something? Is it really that good?

Re: Any steals on plugins today?
It's marketed as a way to copy the response curve of an external EQ, so you can use those settings on multiple tracks as a plugin. However, it has other uses too. I have used the Match EQ in logic which is a similar concept. The match EQ is useful if you process audio and end up changing the timbre (i.e. time stretch or pitch shifting). You save a profile of the original sound, then apply it to the processed one to EQ it back to what it was.
I personally think it's a no-brainer for $29 if you don't have something similar. (TC Electronic made a powercore plugin called assimilator that was similar, but AFAIK it died with powercore).

Re: Any steals on plugins today?
You might consider upgrading your Platinum to Horizon while it's still on sale. When you login to Waves and choose "Upgrade" find all the plugins you already own that are already included in Horizon and check the radio buttons then see what the price is. You might be pleasantly surprised. Also, play with this a bit by unchecking a few because there is likely a cap on how low the price can go.

Re: Any steals on plugins today?
AFAIK, Match EQ does not have a way of sweeping a signal into an external EQ the way Q-clone does.. It requires an existing audio file to "learn" from. It does what it does very well though.

Re: Any steals on plugins today?
Yeah. I don't have the cash to do the Horizon upgrade. Diamond will be on sale next month, and then again also in November. Hoping to upgrade to Diamond which will be a little less expensive than Horizon and has more plugs that I would use than Horizon does.

Maybe take this one for a spin... http://www.meldaproduction.com/plugi...MAutoDynamicEq
EQ matching, among many other things. Download the trial, if it's to your liking then it's only $111.

Re: Any steals on plugins today?
Diamond includes Q-clone, so you might want to hold off if you know you will be upgrading.
