I use VUMT and Massey L2007 on just about everything. When doing targeted program loudness and true peak content I use TC's LM2.

I don't get the bitterness about Waves, despite their major miscalculation earlier this year. Compared to subscription pushers they are a joy...

I just became a fan of Black Salt Audio's Silencer gate. Where cymbals go to die...

I have Savant's version of that same simulator and it's fantastic. It's not for everything, but no reverb is.

10 years, this is a long time during which a lot changes!
Waves plugins - There is a lot of 'must have'! ‘Renaissance Maxx’ I recommend this Bundle to beginners and advanced people and with that you can do everything. It is important to have just a renewed option.
Otherwise, the more you have, the better you have to choose.
iZotope RX Software is the most important to me. Their Ozone is also good, but it is not that it must be owned.

As for other plugins folks mentioned I have Eventide Ensemble, I'm not a fan of buying large bundles but the Eventide effects for a guitar player are so attractive, and I have multiple H9 on pedal boards.

The Weiss EQ from Softube has also impressed me, just such a nice UI to work with and that helps. I expect the Q3 to be similar (in terms of UI/UX quality but yes more features) but let’s see how they compare. Never seen a real Weiss box either. I do like Softube stuff esp. the input/output level thingies in the plugin UIs.
If you have and like the hardware H9, the plugin bundle is a a no brainer and it’s still on Black Friday sale. They sound just as good in plug-in format.

Though in my experience and opinion neither the H9 nor the plugins sound as good as the rack units. There's just something lost in the pedal and plugin, some fidelity or sheen or extra info. Hard to describe. I think the H9 is great for its abilities, I just wish it had that je ne sais quoi. For whatever reason, the newer H90 does seem to bring some of that extra hi-fi back in. It's closer to the racks. However, it's also quite a bit more expensive, so there's that.

I don't, and I've been on the fence about buying it. My go-to for such things is the Weiss EQ1 or MP and I've been very happy with them. If I didn't have those I'd probably have bought the MDW by now. I've heard great things.

Okay, I thought maybe I would try their EQ and Unisum compressor. Two good Compressors would be clearly too much and, on the basis of what I look at, I like more Unisum. But I would also like to give them a chance, maybe EQ. I have waves REQ and it is also very good in my opinion.
