Default Video Engine Crashes: Uninstall DX and Codecs?

Hello all!

I'm having some issues with the video engine.
Mostly, it seems that video lags very far behind the audio after a certain duration- to the point that I have tested it with beeps and found the video to end up completely out of sync. This is frustrating to say the least. After a various point the engine will say "unable to create thumbnails" and it will crash PT.

I think somehow the Mojo DX and Codec drivers might be at fault. It is also possible that the drivers for the Avid Interface are a problem (HD omni- but I'm not currently using it or the Mojo).

Does anyone have a step-by-step guide to completely uninstall Mojo/DX/Codec/HD drivers? If possible I'd like to keep PT HD- just uninstall the drivers.

I'm on Mavericks 10.9.5 with PTHD 11 (latest rev.)
Thanks!

Also: just for argument's sake, it happens with both Apple ProRes 4444 and H264. And this is not a frame-drop problem because it is very clear that audio can be placed on the timeline manually in sync, but in playback it will not be. I.E. at 2:30 I place a two-pop, but come 2:30 in the timeline the pop is way out of line- by several seconds in fact.

Any ideas? I tried a reduced quality video but it still lags far behind.

I will also mentioned I did this on an older system with lagging results (see below).

Test System:
iMac
OS X 10.9.5 (13F34)
Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6770M 512 MB
Memory 12 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Processor 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Latest PT 11 HD
