-In your experience, re-installing an image, does computer activated plug-in counts remain unchanged or does activation count decrease? (I have toontrack and arturia) Any need to re-activate/reinstall plugs?

-How about updates of the sw?

For me, Toontrack plugins run 50/50 and IK Multimedia plugins seem to always require a re-authorization(one reason I really like iLok and Waves on a USB stick) Cytomic's "The Glue" was/is the worst as they made me feel like I was totally imposing on them every time my license needed to be redone so I dumped them. Loved the plugin, hated dealing with the company. Hope they read this......

I've never had any issues with plug-ins or their authorization with any MR restore. And that includes restoring to new, unformatted hard drives and SSDs.

Once you register the software you will receive emails about updates. Be sure to make a new Rescue Disk and rebuild your Boot Menu after every update. Not sure about the free version, but you can always check for updates manually in the program.

Point updates are free, number updates are paid. For example 7.x to 7.y are free, going to 8.0 is paid.
