Default Talking to a Human at Avid

I wanted to ask a quick question to Avid (you know, the people I paid for this product)...but cannot seem to get anywhere in terms of talking to a person. Perhaps I misunderstood...but I keep getting options to purchase a support ticket or something similar. Any experience getting through to a human?

Thanks

If you want to talk to somebody about post-sales support you need to purchase an ASC or use one of the ASCs that came with your purchase. Hardly customer friendly, but that is how Avid has operated for quite a while. You can also sign up for premium support options and get to talk to Avid folks frequently if you want to pay more.

If you have license/activation type questions (which usually do not need an ASC) fill out the online form and they'll get back to you. Or post your question here and Avid will likely open a support case for you.

If you have questions about buying stuff, upgrades, etc. go to a reseller like Sweetwater and spend your money there if they help you. Sweetwater can also often help with many post-sales support questions. Given Avid's customer-unfriendly support policies, a very good reason to purchase from Sweetwater.

Folks here might know the answer to your question or how to get it, but with no clue at all about what the question is...

Darryl - He actually has an Annual Subscription which includes support.

3RingCircus - Please sign into your Avid account and look at your product. It lists your System ID which can be used to call, and there's an Avid Customer Care link to the right that will get you to the phone info (click that, then Audio, then Call Us). You also have the option to start a case online via the Access The Support Center link in your Avid account.
