Default How to get Xpand! tambourine single hit

I am not able to get a single hit out of the tambourine in Xpand!- 025, Percussion Tambourine menu (pro Tools 2018.1.0). I get two close hits for a single midi 16th, eighth or quarter note, etc. and am unable to get just a single hit. I've tried turning on the arp settings and setting the rate and mode to 1, Down. Is it possible to get just a single strike to sound from the Xpand! tambourine?

Thank You,
Robert

Select one of the full percussion presets and find what key correspond to the tambourine.

Thanks. This started me thinking, so I eventually went back, started from scratch, and created a new track. I found the tambourine "single" hit immediately (same 025 Percussion, same Tambourine menu as before).

User error on my part. All that was necessary on the problem first Tambourine track was to turn off the delay plug-in that Pro Tools makes active (along with reverb and chorus) when using a session template midi track, as I was using in this session. I think I grabbed an electric piano track, which came loaded with the delay, and possibly reverb, then renamed it and used it as "Tambourine". I should have checked all the sends levels if I was going to use a "pre loaded" track.
