Meter Levels Don't Change

I recently made the switch to Pro Tools from Cubase and am needing some help with a small issue.

When I adjust a fader in the mixer, the meter doesn't change. For example, if I pull a fader all the way down on a channel, I can still see the meter bouncing away. Or if I crank a fader all the way up, the meter for that channel doesn't shoot up. Or if I mute a channel, the meter doesn't stop.

The reason I ask is because the meters in Cubase do change with fader adjustments.

I'm sure there is a simple solution. I appreciate your help.

Thanks. Exactly what I needed. I knew it would be something like a pre/post fader option. I was looking in the preferences menu and elsewhere. Overlooked it in the options menu.
