Default Intel 80 Core Processor

Lets get a dual socket mobo, and fit 2 of these things on it :O

NOTE: its not a released processor, its just a prototype that intel developed for R/D. This article is also old,. (2007), think about what they've got now ^_^

This is also an old topic on these forums.

But still interesting, considering how far we've come with computer technology, and yet we've barely even scratched the surface.

oh

if only digi will ever incorporate CUDA or Direct Compute 5.0 (for ATI users) into protools. There would be so much power available.

16 buffer settings FTW

D: wow. for a while i actually wanted to build a dual CPU system w/ 2 dual cores. After searching around, i found a table on wikipedia that shows the maximum number of physical CPU's the OS can handle. Windows 7 Home premium, professional, Enterprise and Ultimate can all handle up to 2 CPU's. which is funny, cause there is 4 socket motherboards out there. I am completely unsure about how many CPU's vista can handle, let alone XP.
