Default Best way to speed up a song on PTHD 7.3

I've got a song thats been recorded and is in the pre mix stage, the band is now listening to it and wishing it had been recorded about 5-7bpm faster but don't have the money to re-record it. I sped up a mixed down version of the song using soundtoys speed by 5 and 10 and they gave me their feedback. They def want it faster but speed seemed to have some artifacts

I'm wondering what the best way to do this would be using PTHD 7.3? Individual tracks or stereo file and what plugin or tool would be best. I'm a bit naive in this area as I'll admit I've never had to speed up a whole session before.

Serato Pitch n Time is my first choice for speeding up a song. Elastic Audio can do it as well but you need 7.4 to get that. Maybe bring the session to a studio that has one of these choices and do a quick update on it?

Speed isn't for what you're trying to do, as you found out. P'n'T is good, Waves Soundshifter is good, too.

+1 on Pitch N Time - it has the least noticeable artifacts that I've heard. You select all of the regions that you want to speed up, open Pitch n Time from Audiosuite, select the amount you want to change, then go make some coffee. In about 5-10 min, (depending on song length, sample rates and processor speed), it's done.

sounds like pitch n time is the most favorable, so my question now is, does elastic audio sound/work better in the newer version of PT or is pitch n time still just better all around. Just curious as it seems the PT8 upgrade or plugin will run me about the same amount.

I did it once with Elastic Time with very good results. I used the algorithm X-Form, the others are inferior soundwise in my opinion. It took quite a few hours to render all the tracks but sounded good. I gave the song a speed bump of 2 bpm. It was about fifty tracks, a four minutes long song and the rendering took about four hours on my G5.
I don't have Pitch'n'Time anymore so I wasn't able to compare.

Kind regards

Mark
