PT 7.1 Freeze
Hi there
I have been working on a session for a while and in that time adding more and more plugins both RTAS and VST using vst2rtas 2.0. Most of the vst are powercore plugs and i have therfore made an aux track with a delay comp. plugin to deal with those issues. The hardware buffer was running at 512 and the CPU was starting to get max'ed out and therefore I wanted to increase the buffer size to 1024. This however stops PT making it impossible to anything else but to reboot. Not even ctrl+alt+delete works. The system is totally dead, which means the reset button is the only option! I have 11 audio tracks, 9 instrument tracks (5 of them as "triggers" to ex bfd and stylus RMX and have therefore nothing inserted on them), 7 aux tracks and a stereo master track. Running PT 7.1 on win xp, AMD +3500, 2 GB ram, digi 002R and powercore pci Am I missing something or should the described situation work without problems? Any help appreciated Jakob Clemen

Re: PT 7.1 Freeze
You should start with the steps in the Win XP/ Pro Tools 6.x General Troubleshooting thread and post specific info on your system per the info on that thread if you're unable to resolve the problem.
