Record/Playback on an external drive
Hello all,
I'm a first timer. I'm reading posts regarding the use of an external Firewire drive on a MBP dual-core. I realize there is only 1 Firewire bus sharing a 400 and 800 port. So, if the M-box Pro takes the 400 port, should I not use the 800 port for an external drive? Does this overload the bus? I also realize USB is not supported/recommended. Do I need to utilize the Express Card port? So in summary, what is the optimal setup to do simple 2-track recording with no plug-ins in order to keep the recordings off the internal drive? Thanks much. |

Re: Record/Playback on an external drive
Daisy chain. MBPro->Mbox2pro->FWHD.
