@ Top Jimmy

1) Lets keep politics out of the discussion - they really have nothing to do with it.

2) You're mistaking open standards with open source (try imagining a (work) life without BWF, RF64, MXF, DVDs, cellphones, the db scale, the metric system (I know, not as convincing if you're from the states )

3) Also, you're mistaking open source with open development (Apple develops + supports Webkit and then releases it as open source, Google develops + supports Android and then releases it as open source, ...)

For your request for fact back ups-
What's the population of Avid's employee base?- that's the number of people that agree with you.
What's the population of all they that own Pro Tools but have no affiliation with Avid?- That's the number of people that agree with me
And you could add all they who would buy Avid plug ins if they were available as VST's

Yup, the margin is about 1000 to 1.. Sorry dude
You were asked for facts and have provided none.

But here's some you won't believe:
The only regular Avid employees that post on the DUC are Max Gutnick, Tom Graham & DTS and a couple in the 11R forum. It's been said by DTS themself that neither dism nor emcha_audio are employees. All verifiable by searching posts here on the DUC.

Another fact - people with multiple accounts here on the DUC are violating the TOS.

Right... sure, buddy. Everyone who uses Pro Tools wants to not use Pro Tools.

Yup, its always the same guys with the same pre conceived comments. Tool and Dism with off the wall insults, and Emcha/Musicman691/matthias with long sideways yet respectful replies trying to talk people out of a viewpoint..
Though insisting on no Avid affiliation but without a doubt summonsing one another when you guys see something with a Conflict of Interest..
And always when you guys cry foul, DigiTechSupt is right there with ya
But sure, we believe ya'll..
