Getting the bars/beats lined up with an audio track tempo?
I want to take an mp3 of a song and use it as a base for recording.
How do I identify the tempo (or get my bars/beats to line up with the track's tempo) if I don't know it in advance? Thanks |

Re: Getting the bars/beats lined up with an audio track tempo?
use beat detective region separation then make a loop and identify beat but its usually not 100% accurate so ur gonna have to try a couple different loop points and there is no guarantee it will be right... one thing i do is open up reason program in the snare pattern of the song and when u can get that lined up tight ur getting pretty close... its really hard to get it exactly right if u dont know the tempo already but you can get close enough... if its an industry recording you can try to google the tempo it has worked for me a few times
