Hard drives in LE
Hey all
Im using PT 6.9 L3 (pc) with an MBOX Its a very stable setup and most of the time is brilliant. But I am noticing on each hard drive after ie closed pro tools and gone back into it or rebooted my machine each drive shows a 'digidesign databases' folder in it. Conseqentally thy are all empty apart from my main drive i use for all my PT sessions. The question I have is how do you stop PT from creating these folders each time? Not a huge issue but i run a tight ship and hate mess and clutter....... Cheers all hope i can help someone myself |

Re: Hard drives in LE
No.
The digibase creates those databases everytime on any mounted drive. If there were a way to "unmount" a drive in windows, then you could stop that from happening, but that is not the case, and would render that drive useless until re-mounted. Details about all of this can be found in the digibase guide.

Re: Hard drives in LE
Ok m8 thanks very much you certainly seem to know you stuff.
I have another question from that then if you may be so kind to help. When importing audio ie a sample or vocal from my audio drive I usually go to import audio and do it that way. Of course this is a much longer process than the prescribed DIGIDESIGN way on one of their tutorials where you view a pane on the right hand sid eof your screen and drag it across once youve auditioned the audio. My question is with much a tampering i have moved the pane and cannot find it nor do i know what its called can you help me to locate it please thanks |
