Default Midi Step Recording

For those of us that are performance challenged, is there a midi step record available in ProTools Free? I have read the manual and I am aware of the recording at half speed and the quantization options, but I'm looking for an option that would allow high control of midi data entry, defining exact note length, note by note.

Default Re: Midi Step Recording

You can probably use the pencil tool to draw in midi notes on the edit page.
