Default Serial port on MIX card

I know this is probably a real dumb ass question, but I have to ask.

Can the serial port on the MIX card be used a as a type of serial port to connect a MIDI interface to G4 ?

Please don't throw things at me

I know the answer, but I have to make ure 100% before weihing up my options.
I already have a stealth card, however my new G4 has a 56k modem inside. I could take it out, but I would rather not.

THANKS

Default Re: Serial port on MIX card

TIBALDI

The serial port on the MIX card is used for connecting the USD or Machine Control and is not implemented to be a MIDI serial port.
