Default Audio Import from CD much slower since I went to 8.0.3

Of course I also went to Snow Leopard at the same time, so that widens the field of possible culprits considerably. But just looking to narrow the field. Anyone else out there experiencing significantly slower audio imports from CD? (we're talking 15 minutes where it used to take maybe 2-3 minutes).
