Default Protools 10 without ILok?

I am looking at purchasing used protools 10 with an MBox2
From a Craigslist posting. I asked about an iLok, but the seller
Said he never had one, and that the software ran fine thru the mBox2.
Is this a possibility, or smoke and mirrors?
He seems like an innocent legit seller.
Thoughts? Thank you

Nope. That's a non-licensed version of Pro Tools and you would not be buying a legitimate version. Stay away. Since Pro Tools 9 an iLok has been required.
