Default PTHD11 and OSX 10.10.3

I run an HD11 HD Native rig on a 12 core MacPro on OSX 10.9.5, i'm considering moving to 10.10.? so that I can also run Office 2016 for Mac.

Its not vital that I move to Office 2016 for mac, currently I'm using Office 2011.

From what I've ready, things are fine for PTHD11 up to 10.10.3?

Questions:

* Not sure how to upgrade from 10.9.5 to just 10.10.3 without the installer taking me all the way to the current version which I think is 10.10.5. Have people had success with 10.10.5?

* Are there any reasons to avoid 10.10 all together with PTHD11? Everything is super stable on OSX 10.9.5.

* Is 10.11 even an option for PTHD11?

* Is 10.12 even an option for PTHD11?

Barry,

If Everything works on OSX 10.9.5 i would use that awhile longer since moving OS is a surefire way to get problems with PT.

I haven't hear anyone complain about PT11 on macPS Sierra but i would stay put if it works and but a used Mac with Sierra if you really "need" Office16

All in my opinion of course but i would stay put on Mavericks because it is soo Darn Awesome for PT

Simply clone what you have now and experiment. All you can lose is a few minutes of your time.

10.10.5 was great for me and is supported for 11.3.2.

Same here, but 10.11.x is horrible

I have two boot partitions on my iMac and at one time had a third with OSX 10.10.2. I dropped that because it was unstable as all get out for PT work. I didn't stay with it long enough to be able to try the 10.10.3 update.

If you can get some kind soul to gift you the initial OSX 10.10 installer then search for the combo updater for OSX 10.10.3 - it should still be available online.
