Those are AU/VST, not AAX.

AIR is NOT going to fix this for us - that would be Avid's job, apparently.

Hi Simon
Pro Tools has both a Support Plan and an Update Plan.
Those on a current Update Plan get the latest version of Pro Tools.

Unfortunately we are not sure how they will be doing this.
Perhaps you could reach out to them as an interested user?
This is ultimately up to Avid how they would like to update/distribute the AAX version as they own the rights.
We have provided then with the source files required to build updates for Mini Grand and Structure free but have not heard much since.

Hi, all-

This is my first time trying out virtual instruments in Pro Tools... when I use third-party instruments (Pianoteq, for example) and certain PT freebies (like Xpand), everything works fine. With certain instruments that come with PT 12 (so far tested Mini Grand and Structure), each note cuts off after a few milliseconds, regardless of how long I hold down the note/chord on my keyboard.

The same issue happens if I use the virtual instrument's built-in UI (like Mini Grand's keyboard)... so it doesn't seem to be an issue with my external controller. In any case, here's that info... I'm using a generic USB MIDI interface, with my ancient Kurzweil K2000 as the controller.

The system I'm on at the moment is #3 in my signature, the Macbook Pro.

This is a known bug. AiR (they make these VIs) made an update already but Avid must release them for Pro Tools.

The word is, AVID are taking their time releasing the update. AIR has already released updates for Structure (not Structure free) and mini grand (for VST/ AU only) and have said they have supplied AVID with the files to update the Instrument bundle. But it still has yet to be released. It's been over 30 days since AIR released the updates.
