Pro Tools 11 cannot communicate with M-Audio keyboard / HUI

Hello,
I have a normal clean win 8.1 installation with the latest Pro Tools 11 installed. Just an M-Box is connected, nothing else.

I tried to connect the new M-Audio Oxygen 49 Mk4 controller/keyboard, configured the Setup/Peripherals settings correctly and everything looked fine...execept it did not work . Pro Tools did get no MIDI data and after a minute there came a popup window saying "Pro Tools cannot communicate with the M-Audio..." not giving any details.
After that I tried the Arturia Keylab 49 keyboard. The Setup is a little different but i followed the instructions from the Arturia Website for Pro Tools. The result was exactly the same... "Pro Tools cannot communicate with the HUI..."

I tried to analyze the problem, but did only get that far that under windows itself with other apoplication everything works perfectly. All the stand alone players from my plugin instruments for example run without any problem. I also checked the MIDI data with a control program and it all was fine.

Just Pro Tools seems to be the problem

as Pro Tools is not give any hint about the reason ( just saying restart the device , which doesn't help), it would be great if someone could help...

Hey i just posted the same problem, stumbled onto something, it said to disable controller in peripherals, close pro tools, then right click ptools to run as administrator, thrn setup peripheral again, m going to try now

Someone got back to me snd is functioning i had to create a midi track, set the midi controller as input, the plug in as the output, then enable record, not sure if this helps.

neither running PT as admin nor the settings did change anything. the problem must be somewhere else :-( but thanks

This worked for me:

Don't go to setup>peripherals!

1. create an insrument track
2. call up an instrument plugin
3. input should be set to receive midi on all devices
4. output to the loaded device on midi channel 1
5. make shure midi through is enabled!!
6. record arm the track
you should now be able to trigger sound

Since doing this my kontrol audio 6 interface isnt workibg with pro tools, still works with reason, amplutube and everything else ive checked, it says it cant initislize, i have tried every sample rate with no difference, any help would be appreciated

Just recalled that the changes i made in peripherals may be the cause, unfortunately i dont know what would be correct
