Default 10k rpm and better quiet ext. SCSI drives

Since Firewire hard dirves are not approved yet (but in use), I'd like to stay away from compatability problems and find out what you guys love as far as large (36 gig), fast (10-15k rpm +), and quiet SCSI drives for audio AND video. Also any info regarding cost and dealers would be a great help.

Thanks in advance,
SPC

Seagate Cheetah drives work the best I use a 72 gig with the Atto SCSI card how ever the Adaptect 39160 is a screaming card for other applications as well. Just remember Pro tools is throttled down to run at 10 mhz (10 megabites) per second so fast SCSI controllers and fast drives are a misnomer when using Pro Tools.

My friend at EPOCH Sales deals direct with Kinston Technologies and gets good prices on any hard drive you need. Email me with your phone number and I have him call you. But check for current prices first so you know how much things cost. Try www.buy.com for cheetah drives.
