Default Glyph Project X storage

In this month's "The Mix" magazine there is a picture from the AES Convention of the Project X storage unit for the Digi001. Anybody know what this is all about? Is it just an external hard disc? I wonder if it's something that interfaces to the mysterious 9-pin port on the Digi001 unit.

Cheers,

Mike

Yesterday Sweetwater Sound's INSYNC talked about this unit. It seems it is 9gb, and priced into the statosphere.
I love quality, well made professional equipment, but lets keep it affordable!

Is 899.00 list inexpensive for a hard drive for a digi 001?

New in stock at Sweetwater: Glyph has just shipped us new Tproject and Xproject 001 hard drives. The Tproject drives are very inexpensive Ultra SCSI drives optimized for digital audio systems while the Xproject 001 drives are optimized specifically for Digi 001 systems. They even look like the Digi 001 audio interface.

The Xproject drive is a scsi hd. It runs at 7200 rpm and is a table top 9 gig. I think I paid around $440 for mine. It is several hundred dollars cheaper than the glyph 10000 rpm drives. It is pretty quiet as well. I run it and a glyph scsi CD burner off an atto card with my 001.
