Default New Waves C6 version - The Venom?

Going through my Twitter feed the last couple of days and a fellow posted a picture of his studio focused on his computer screen - had a bunch of Waves plugins up (this was actually to show Waves plugins) and amongst things you could see were the Abbey Roads C37 tape deck, the JJP 660/670, and a mystery plug with a PT session also up on the screen. I asked what was the mystery plug and they came back (the studio guy and Waves) and they said it was a C6. The studio guy said something about over-correcting the color but something interesting came up in conversation back and forth between us that they said it was what they called the Venom version of C6.

Could be just playing around with the Twitterverse people but I figured I'd post and ask here - anybody caught anything about a new C6 version? I know beta testers can't speak but maybe somebody has heard/seen something on this? This version had, even accounting for the color overdoing a rather dark gui almost like Izotope Ozone colors.

I am not aware of anything but can you post a link or a screenshot of what you are talking about?

It's right above the JJP 660/670:

Thanks for posting the image, but I am not seeing what is different from the current C6. The colors are darker, but that is the case with the J37 and Puigchild plugins in that shot as well so I would attribute that to the image quality of the picture itself. What am I missing?

Pull up a screenshot of the C6 from Waves' site and look at the one in the picture I posted. There are color differences that can't just be explained by image quality itself. The JJP compressor and J37 aren't changed anywheres near as much like the C6.

Could be. Must admit though a refresh of the C6 would be interesting
