The new plugins do NOT automatically get added to one's collection - you have to expressly purchase them. AR plugs are treated differently than anything else in Waves and that's all due to Abbey Roads themselves and their licensing scheme.

I meant when purchase the new plugins. You just get a discount anytime Waves releases a new AR plugin. Sorry about the confusion once again.

Not to be argumentative but is there anything that says WUP gets extended when going for the bundle? I couldn't find anything and all I really wanted that I didn't have was TG. Don't have AR Vinyl & King's Microphones and don't need them.

Yes it does get extended. When you select upgrade (if there's a plugin in AR Collection that you have not purchased yet) you just select all the AR plugins in you account and there will be a price and the notation will say AR Collection. The price vary depending upon the plugins you have already purchased but like me the price was $29 for the new AR plugin and my WUP plan for my Abbey Roads was extend 1 year from the purchase date of OCT 17 2018 to OCT 17 2019. Just remember it will only extend the WUP of the AR Collection.

IIRC is during the upgrade process. You don't have to complete the transaction, just go to your upgrade page and select an option.

I did and it says nothing about extending WUP. Right now it would cost about $49US to upgrade which gets me Vinyl & Kings Mics neither of which I need and from what I can gather there's nothing in the updates since the various WUP's ran out in my AR plugs that means anything to me.

I guess what I'm having a hard time rapping my head around is do I really need WUP? Particularly since everything seems to be working on both OSX 10.10.5 and my experimental OSX 10.12.6 and I have no reason to go beyond that.

If everything is working fine on your system I would say no. Also there's nothing saying you having to upgrade or renew your WUP. I would only do it there's a new plugin that comes out that I really want and don't mind forking over the cash to Waves.
