12.8.1 breaks Blackmagic

Seems to have broken Blackmagic preview monitor playback (BM Desktop Video 10.9.5). Now the video engine using the BM card keeps complaining about the video 'still rolling' & won't stop, start, or sync properly. 12.8 was fine.

Having installed a variety of BlackMagic interface cards in various host computers, I have found BlackMagic Drivers to be the bane of my existence.

My first word of advice would be to play around with BlackMagic Driver/Desktop Video versions. I recently had to downgrade a driver to 10.5.x to get any sort of performance out of a Windows based PT HD environment.

Just reporting, the it's working well in my setup. BM 10.9.5, PTHD12.8.1, OSX 10.12.6

Yep, now working here as well -

All seems related to how much time & re-runs it takes for a clean PT install to correctly recognise all plugs etc. About three boots or so. e.g.: the first time loses the audio interface (Apollo in this case), then wants to disable a whole host of UAD plugins etc. Anyways, keep ignoring the errors and re-booting. Eventually comes good & this includes finally getting the BM drivers going again.

in one of the Black Magic manuals they recommend re install the drivers after any DAW updates

I´m seeing the same problems.
Mac Mini 10.12.6, PT 12.8.1, BM 10.9.5 (Ultra studio mini monitor)

Sync also seems to be unstable. Like in Pt 10 with quicktime playback.
