Default A good idea to AVID/Pro Tools

No more paying for fixes...

http://www.cakewalk.com/June-2016#SONAR4Life

I know AVID will NEVER do it, BUT AVID can rethink your own business model and give us free all bug fixes to current version we payed for.
For exemple: who bought the 12 version will receive ALL fixes or update versions (12.whatever), in the 12 mouths support or not.
If you are in the 12 months support you can receive the last version (13...).
If you don renew the support you will stay in the last version from the period when it expires, but you still receive the bug fixes.
And the life goes on.

When you buy a car you have a garantie time, they give you recalls for free correct problems... It is bug corrections.

I think this is a honest way to do this things and show respect for us...

It is obvious the makers of Sonar have been reading this forum and see an opportunity.... wonder about the makers of Pro Tools?

It's a very impressive way for midi edition.
BUT, more impressive than this, is the way Avid wants our money. LOL
We pay for problems and beta testing.
I have no doubt that a "no buggy" Pro Tools version will be great. We all are angry because Avid is losing the chance of staying on the top and they want we pay the for its errors.
Avid is going down in stability, features and in the cost x benefits as well.
Sad but true...

My feeling exactly. I want to be excited about Pro Tools again. Avid has no idea how excited we all used to be for Pro Tools in the Digidesign days. I rarely saw complaining. Ever since Avid has owned Pro Tools, it has been bad news after bad news. I think they have seen a lot of complaining and figure this is what it was always like because it has always been like this for them from the beginning.

Ha, a fantastic memory of the 90s, that wonderful car analogy, the missing wheels etc etc. Hey, welcome to the 21st century ... that's why they call it SOFTware, the remarkable business model ... Another oldie, but a goodie – 'What if Airlines were Operating Systems?" [extract]:

Windows Air
The terminal is pretty and colorful, with friendly stewards, easy baggage check and boarding, and a smooth take-off. After about 10 minutes in the air, the plane explodes with no warning whatsoever.

Mac Airlines
All the stewards, stewardesses, captains, baggage handlers, and ticket agents look the same, act the same, and talk the same. Every time you ask questions about details, you are told you don't need to know, don't want to know, and would you please return to your seat and watch the movie.

Unix Airlines
Each passenger brings a piece of the airplane and a box of tools to the airport. They gather on the tarmac, arguing constantly about what kind of plane they want to build and how to put it together. Eventually, they build several different aircraft, but give them all the same name. Some passengers actually reach their destinations. All passengers believe they got there.
