Default midi patches in the protools view...

ok, when you create a new midi track in protools, is there a way to make protools display the names of each of the patches? like for my yamaha synth, there are hundreds of voices.... in protools, I only can pick patches by number... is there a way to display names, or enter them myself?

once again, thanks in advance for all of your help!

-Steve

You can manually write in all the names in OMS Names (Should be in the OMS folder).
Pretty intricate and time consuming, though.

there's already factory names for the following Yamaha products in the default OMS install :

Yamaha 01v
Yamaha AN1x
Yamaha CS1X
Yamaha DX7 II
Yamaha MU80
Yamaha SY55
Yamaha SY77
Yamaha TG500
Yamaha TG77
Yamaha W7

I know you might not have one of these but if you look on google you might get lucky and find someone who's already made a patchname document for you're synth.
