Default Delay Compensation on AUX tracks - automatic

I encountered something strange... Maybe I just encountered my own ignorance. Pro Tools HD 11.3.1.

Why is my AUX track being compensated by 544 samples in a 48 kHz project (image here), and 832 samples in a 192 kHz project (image here)? There's nothing there. It should read zero. Is delay compensation being measured for cascaded buses now? Each AUX track feeds a secondary AUX that feeds the main.

Do you have any other plugin that are actually giving those levels of latency?

No plug-ins. This just shows up when I feed a bus.

I am having the same issue. Aux tracks show a delay where no delay should be (around 1000 samples here).
And yes, I am feeding Aux's (say: Drum Bus) into Aux's (say: Drum and Parallel Compression Bus combined) into Aux's (say: Mix Bus).
And no, I am not using any delay-inducing plugin anywhere in the session.

I don't know when it appeared, but I am sure that on PT9, it hasn't been this way (just recently upgraded to PT11 and now to PT12).

I am still trying to find out where it comes from and how to re-produce it. mesaone, your session yields 0 samples of latency on my rig.
Then I though cross-referencing aux sends (aux 1 sends into aux 2 and vice verse) would be it, but it isn't. Then I found it in one session where deactivating that one send into an aux eliminated the delay, but still, I cannot reproduce it in a new session...
I keep trying.

I found out that Pro Tools (12) creates unusally high amounts of delay when aux sends point to "nowhere". Like when you send something to say Bus 3 and no other track, aux or sidechain input has this Bus 3 as an input.

On my system, the extra delay is about 1800 samples.

Huh, well my test session did not have a "bus to nowhere" as there was another Aux track receiving Bus 5, it just wasn't in the screenshot... I think. It's been awhile, I'll go back and check. I'll retry it, but this time set that Aux track output to a physical output and see what happens.

Yes, I confirm.

But I think it's just a display issue : Is there actually a delay ? => who knows as we can't listen to the signal. But I used to get other cases where delay comp display was wrong and there was actually no delay.

Your bus 5 must be terminated to the output "Main" (which I suppose is a physical output) so that ADC can properly be calculated otherwise you get "strange" delay comp value.

I was getting a strange delay comp value. 544 samples at 48 kHz, 832 samples at 192 kHz.

Any light on this subject? Figure out the problem? I am getting 4146 samples of delay on ANY aux track now for some stupid reason. I am freaking out
