Default Mbox phantom Power problem

Hi,

I have an Mbox that works fine with my laptop (1.5 centrino, 1Gb RAM) until i turn on the phantom power when the overload lights come on and the USB light goes off so PT doesn't see it. To use it with phantom power I have to unplug the Mbox, turn on Phantom and plug it back in.

This doesn't happen on my Mac (dual 867) or on the laptop with a powered hub.

Is my laptop's USB not got enough juice for the Mbox or is there some other problem?

Many thanks,

Jon
