And why have I never thought to do this? Its so obvious a way to speed up the process! Thanks!

I swear I read something that the latest 2022.4 has ARA2...but I can't find the information, nor can I see that it's in the latest version...am I nuts?

The commit track ARA trick does work, but can be unreliable. Sometimes it will cut the beginning of the transfer, so you have to manually record that bit in.

I'm not sure if you are allowed to post links, but search "The Melodyne ARA Pro Tools Track Hack" for a video explanation.
