Static, crackles the lot ????

Ok for a while now ive noticed the longer my system runs the more static and crackles i get. Ive done all the system optimisations, all plugs are up to date i just cant find the culprit. If i click any where in the time line to start the song from a point i get a pop, crackle, static what ever you want to call it. if i use an EQ and move the points around i get crackles and static and today ive been using SSD4 and noticed its crackling only on the floor tom when it plays a floor tom roll????????
