Don't do 32-bit its ancient when it comes to DAW's. 32 smells like poo, 64 gives you much much more.

I was thinking of getting windows 7 64 bit but my m-audio oxygen v.2 doesn't have windows 7 drivers yet and I don't want to buy another one right now.

more than likely all you have to do is Plug in the USB cable and W7 will load the correct driver, like it did with my Axiom 61. W7 does pretty good with drivers. One way to check for sure, is to go to a friends house that has W7 64 bit, and plug the USB into their PC and turn on the Oxygen. If the New Device window comes up, and it loads the driver, you can more comfortable move on to Windows 7 64 bit.
