PT Ultimate 2019.6 Crashing too easily

Has anyone else had problems with PT Ultimate 2019.6 crashing unnecessarily and easily? I'm well, well below my track count and voice count, and I'm running a 6-core i7 on my iMac with 32 GB RAM, so the session I'm working in right now should not be even near large enough to be causing these problems. I am experimenting with VocalSynth 2 at the moment, and I know, like a lot of iZotope stuff it's tough on the CPU, but I'm pretty damn sure I shouldn't be pushing the limits with this relatively tiny session I have going right now. Just yesterday, and later today, I'll be running a session for a short film that has about 280 tracks and it hasn't been causing me problems -- and that's with several instances of ReVibe II and FabFilter running. Any else run into issues like this?
