Default AVID Exchange Program for Digi002?

I recall an exchange program webpage with two columns:

I have......... I want to get

Digi002........ HD Native OMNI

Anyone know if that still exists?

Yes, it is an ongoing program. On the "Special Offers" page, over in the right column is a link to "ongoing programs". Click on that link to see the offer.

An "ongoing program" is more long term, whereas their normal specials usually change every quarter.

Also, for pricing, you can look on Sweetwater's site, and it lists the price for these trade-in offers separate from the normal bundles (regardless of whether you buy from them, their site is very helpful for things like this).

Basically, any given bundle is going to be $1000 less because you are trading in a 002/003 or Mbox Pro.

Also keep in mind that many dealers will discount these prices further, but they're not allowed to advertise those prices. So you can usually get these even cheaper.

As for how these work (I've done a couple of these), the bundle they send you is exactly the same as a new one off the shelf. The only difference is the price you pay. In the HD Native card (or Thunderbolt) box, you will get an activation code, which will give you the current HD software (11 and 10). And a separate box will have your HD interface. You also get a brand new Ilok 2 in the box, so you can save yourself $50.

Within 30 days, you will need to send your 002 either to Avid, or to the dealer (this can vary). If I'm not mistaken, they are supposed to pay the shipping as well, but you can double check about that.

Thanks so much... yeah, that's a buried link.

I wonder what they do with all the old interfaces... perhaps salvage or sell them for parts. I'm guessing they want them off the market so new customers will have to buy new products.
