Trouble with tempo changes mid-session
I have read in the manuel several times (also viewed several videos on the internet) and they all tell me to select the bars and beats i want to change the tempo for then drag the tempo ruler up or down to conform to the new tempo wanted. The song starts off at 97 BPM and at 19:4 I need it to become a tempo op 149 BPM for the rest of the song. I started recording at 97 BPM then at 19:4 i highlight everything after and then drag up the ruler but no matter what i do, it drags the temp of the entire song up, which screws up my previous tempo. How do I set a perameter so this does not happen or set a point (like if i were to automate the tempo the same way as one would automate the volume of a track)? Please help...I am starting to wonder if my pro tools is not bugging which is usually not the case...just my ignorance. Thanks

Re: Trouble with tempo changes mid-session
Make sure you are set to ticks not samples

Re: Trouble with tempo changes mid-session
Put your curser at the bar where you want the change to occur and then click on the little plus sign next to the word tempo on the top left of the Edit screen.
In the window that pops up type in the new tempo value |
