Default Video Engine Reported An Error

Hi. My ability to play video has stopped working in the middle of a project. When I try to play the video I receive the following message

"The video Engine reported an error. More information is in the video engine log file."

1. How do I fix this?
2. Where is the video engine log file?

Please help.

I'm using PT 11.3.1 , windows 7, and a scarlet focusrite
