Default Parabolic Volume Automation Curves???

Just wanted to confirm whether I'm doing something wrong...
Is it true that PT does not allow drawing of Parabolic or S-Curves in volume automation?

If this is the case, what's the next best work-around (other than free-hand)?

I'm working with instrument tracks and would prefer not to bounce the audio in order to get a smooth fade.

Many thanks.

Parabolic and S-curve tools are for tempo automation. Parameter automation is straight interpolation, not vector.

Which means you can draw in any shape at all

Thanks.

I think I might export the MIDI out of this project and finish it in Logic.

As Albee pointed out, you can draw any shape you want. This might require you to turn off automation thinning.

One more thing - unlike automation, pro tools clip fades and crossfades do have parabola and s-curve.

I hear you, but my freehand drawing is terrible, therefore I spend forever trying to fix what I just drew. That's a workflow killer for me. And I'm working with instrument tracks - I don't want to have to bounce my parts in order to get a smooth fade on them.
