Unhappy F7-F9 Keys

Hi All,

how can I disable the Itunes functionalities of the F7-F9 keys and activiate them to be used in PT?

I know that has been widely discussed, however, none of the suggested options worked on my machine.

Many thanks.
Kind regards
Matt

Am I the only one confused by this question? Or is this a newer Mac and you have Spotlight turned on?

In the general settings I have disabled Spotlight's default keyboard shortcuts (and all other conflicting default keyboard shortcuts, too). However, the problem persists:

When I press F8, instead of switching to the PT grabber tool, Itunes starts to play I have tried everything but it seems I cannot change it.

In System Preferences (should be in the Keyboard panel) there is box labeled something along the lines of 'Use all function keys as standard'. That's what you need to find and toggle.
