I sure hope so. The input monitoring bug is a fatal flaw and an update is needed. Going backward isn't a fix because with that versions the OMF input bug exist. We can't seem to win with any of these.

won't be 10.4.

10.3.10.

Maintenance releases would never get a full x.x numbering.

I think the question at the moment is will it be 10. anything. I'm not a programer but it does't seem to make sense that it would take this long to fix something in a maintenance release that was never broken in any other release of that same software. The complete lack of communication from Avid, how suprising, about the progress of work on this issue also doesn't contribute anything positive to this situation.

PT10 is still not finished, so *I* myself would expect maintenance updates as long as PT10 is on par with PT6.4.1 (last version that works with MIX hardware).

Agreed. The time it's taken to release a fix for the input bug is startling. I think this is evidence that Avid is still awkwardly juggling their will to force customers from 10 to 11 and their need to keep the general customer base feeling taken care of. Unfortunately, neither is actually happening, so it's all backfiring. Whomever is pulling the strings is making it crystal clear that their stance is to force their customers into action instead of luring them to spend money on quality products. The former is an effective *short* term scheme, the latter a proven long term plan.

I think they take 10.3.7 and work that over and fix what ever else was messed up in 10.3.8 and 10.3.9 and release that

10.3.9 was close to being solid. Other than input monitoring, what else was screwed up?

Indeed...what was screwed up with 10.3.8? I'm still on that and have no serious issues(avoiding 10.3.9 for just this reason)
