Connection issues
Hi guys, writing this on my iPod so apologies for the briefness. I've started using my avid mbox pro with a MacBook pro and a glyph hard drive. I was previously using this set up with windows and all was working fine. I connected my MacBook configuration as so:
MacBook > fw800 cable > glyph fw800 port > glyph fw400 port > mbox pro that caused a load of underbuffer errors. Now I've seemed to sort the problem by: MacBook > fw800 to fw400 convertor > fw400 cable > mbox pro > glyph drive no errors but it's not ideal coz none of my chain is opeating at fw800 speeds and also my hard drive is at the end of the chain, and I see most people here have managed to get it working having the mbox at the end of the chain. Can anyone help please? |

Re: Connection issues
Get a FW400 expresscard/34 for your MacBook Pro and you'll be a lot happier. Run your Mbox Pro off the card and your hard drive off the laptop's FW800 port.
