The only thing i can think of is that i have enabled AHCI for my HDD´s in the BIOS. The session was recorded on PT 8.0.1 with the 8.0.4 audiodrivers.
Other than that, i have made no rearrangements of my computers BIOS or settings than i had on XP 32 bit with PT 8.0.1.
i would uninstall/reinstall the 002R driver for starters...

I'm seeing this issue now. Didn't show up until I started tracking bass guitar. I guess it's probably happening with other stuff but it just goes unnoticed unless you have constant low frequency info. I'm just stunned that a pro DAW would write an incorrect waveform to disc. A dozen extra pencil redraws per session is not all that time consuming. But it just makes you wonder, if it's altering your audio here, where else is it doing it? Very very bad news.

I'm having the same problem, also started noticing it upon upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit. Is anyone noticing this in a _different_ OS?

I've just learned to live with it and work around it by punching in and out way earlier and later than I normally would. Otherwise, it busts my groove. My eyes are going to get stuck in the rolled position if Avid doesn't fix this soon.

does anyone still get this in PT 10? I'm getting it on 2 different interfaces. ADC off, seems to be when doing a manual punchout. (in quick punch).

Question Re: Pops noise after quick punch. Pics included.

Has this issue been resolved?
I've been dealing with it since version 8, and it's still present in PT10.

I have found a way to fix some of the problems with punch ins that cause click or pops. Use a fade on one or both segments that touch each other (where the click is heard). Sometimes this will eliminate the problem but sometimes it doesn't. I'm not a Pro but I've been slowly learning some tricks.

Peace
