Default Help with Conform from Production poly wavs

A cry for help!
My editor has sent me a referenced AAF for the edit of reel one. I thought he was referencing the original polywavs containing the guide mixdowns of boom and lav tracks. It appears that the Avid he was editing on created mxf files and it is these files that the AAF is trying to link to. And of course I don't have these mxf files locally. I have been trying to use the field recorder work flow to expand to new tracks with no luck at all. Ediload is partly helpful but sees roll names that have no match to anything on the original production audio poly wavs. There must be a workflow I'm missing here. Any helpful ideas gratefully accepted.

Your editor should have provided you an embedded AAF with handles, or a referenced AAF with source media attached. I'm not a PT expert, but I was once lead to believe by the fine folks at AATranslate that the media is actually required for the field recorder workflow to function. Somebody else correct me if that's not true.

In any event, a reference AAF without media is not the right way to deliver to you, and he or she should send you another.

Thank you Chris. We went the Ediload way. Works beautifully
