Re: Mark in - mark out, select area
IIRC, just highlight the clip, call up the Marker Dialogue, change the Marker to Selection, and name it if you want. You can even just select a blank area on the timeline and do the same thing. Handy if you want to go back to an area you want to record in, say doing tags for commercials. Just remember that, if you move the audio the Marker is selecting, the Marker Selection does not move with the clip, it stays where it is. But you can resave he Marker Selection at the new location using/within the Marker Window (where all the Markers are shown).
