Default PTF with Creamware audio cards

I've got a G4 500M dual processor running OS 9.1 and a Luna Creamware audio card. In any PTF session I had, the screen froze after a certain amount of time. It could be 5 minutes or 30 minutes and wasn't the result of any specific action I did. The Luna software is running in the background just so i could hear whet I'm doing. Is it the conflict with the Creamware soundcard or software that causes the problem? Someone told me that Digidesign products are compatible with Creamware products. Is this also true for the free version?

At this time, PTfree isn't compatible with any soundcard. Maybe PTfree is compatible with de Creamw@are software, but you can't use the Luna souncard with PTfree (it support only SoundManager and the built-in soundcard).
It's a free version...

The G4 powerbook has no built-in input. It thus demands an external sound card for input. So can we conclude that the current version of PTF will not work with this new powerbook under any circumstances, except of course, with a PCI chassis holding an Audiomedia III card?

Well, you misunderstood me.

I know that PTF only works with the sound manager i/o's, and I just plug my sound manager output into my soundcard's input so I could hear what I do on ProTools.

What interests me is whether my soundcard's hardware or software are the reasons for PTF freezing out on me every once in a while, or is it something to do with OS 9.1, or the specifics of my G4 being dual-processor (I've had other problems like this woth other software before, but not anymore).
