Default Extremely Slow Bounce Times!

Hi,

I have just upgraded my PC from an AMD FX8350 based system, to an Intel I7 5820K (Overclocked to 4.2GHz). This was in an attempt to help bouncing times in Pro Tools 11, and on my first test I did it was great. I imported a single 3 minute stereo track into Pro Tools, added compression and volume automation and bounced it out at 300x speed... Fantastic!

However I loaded a project with 11 stereo 3 minute long tracks and tried to bounce out the project with nothing added to it, and it is doing it at 5x speed....

Does anyone have any idea what could be going on?

Thanks

Hi think that is what you might want to expect of offline bounce in PT . With more complicated sessions its gonna be slower . But it's gonna be faster than the real time bounce anyway !

For sure, bigger sessions will take longer, and certain plugins will stretch that even more. Sometimes(still haven't figure this one out), my system throws an odd error message when I start an offline bounce, but it offers me the option of a real-time bounce(which always works).

I have quite a few VI's in my sessions and usually get bounce speeds of only 2 to 3 times a real time bounce. Not impressive but atleast faster than real time bounce.
