Yamaha P-80 Problem

Hi,
Am having a devil of time selecting and retaining the P80 sounds in different ProTools tracks via MIDI ---is there something I am missing?
If you have a P80 and are using, with PT, and sequencing---can ya email me or send telephone so I can pick your brain for 5 minutes to find out what I am doing wrong'
